The North American Indigenous Games (NAIG) Council accepted the final draft of the 2014 NAIG Sport Technical Package presented by the Council’s Sport & Technical Committee. The S&T Committee is comprised of appointed representatives from NAIG Council, 2008 NAIG Host Society and 2014 NAIG Host Society.
S & T Committee chair, Charly Kelly (Yukon), presented the final package to Council on November 15, 2012. It followed consultation from the Canadian National Sport Organizations for the 15 core sports in NAIG. Input was also provided by the provincial sport governing bodies from Saskatchewan who will help deliver the sports at the 2014 NAIG in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.
The Regina 2014 NAIG Host Society was heavily involved in the year long revision of the sport technical package. The host society will continue detailed planning following the requirements of the sports rule book on facility and equipment requirements, competition schedules, as outlined in each sports technical package.
The 2014 NAIG Sport Technical Package can be downloaded in its’ entirely from the Competition section. For coaches and athletes, each sports technical package will also be available for download individually.
